Cooperating with Key to Iceland

Modified on Mon, 10 Aug at 11:46 AM

Connecting with Key to Iceland through Travia works the same way as connecting with other travel agencies.

Key to Iceland can either send you a cooperation request, or you can request to partner with Key to Iceland.

To learn how to request or accept a cooperation, see Send a cooperation request to travel agency or Accept a cooperation request from travel agency.

Once the cooperation has been accepted, you can set up your cancellation policies, prices, and discounts in the same way as you would for other Travia partners.

Prices and rate lists:

The prices shown to customers on KeytoIceland.com are based on:

  • The prices you add or maintain in Travia
  • A 12% commission added on top of those prices

You can choose to enter either NET or GROSS prices in Travia.

NET -  Key to Iceland will add its 12% commission on top of the price you provide.

GROSS - make sure to add at least a 12% discount in Travia for Key to Iceland. This ensures that the final price displayed on KeytoIceland.com is calculated correctly.

Lodging tax:

Accommodation providers can choose whether the lodging tax is included or excluded in their prices.

  • If lodging tax is marked as excluded, Travia will add ISK 800 on top of the price listed in or retrieved by Travia.
  • If lodging tax is marked as included, no additional amount will be added.

Payments:

Key to Iceland collects card information and payment from customers on your behalf.

The accommodation provider receives payment on the first working day after check-out, provided that an invoice has been issued to Key to Iceland. If your accommodation prefers to send invoices less frequently, such as on a monthly basis, Key to Iceland is happy to accommodate this.

Discounts:

If you would like to create a discount for Key to Iceland for a specific period, you can set this up using discount groups in Travia.

For step-by-step instructions, see How to set up discount groups.
