How to connect your property to BookVisit
When you have created an account on Travia, and are setting up your property, you need to connect it to a channel manager.
To connect to BookVisit, click on Select channel manager that can be found under Connect your Property with a Channel Manager.
You will get a list of options. Select BookVisit (see image).
When you select BookVisit, a code will appear under Property Key, like can be found on the screenshot.
Take note of your property key, since this need to be sent to BookVisit for activation.
Important: Your room setup needs to be complete before proceeding with the following steps. If not completed yet this takes you through the room setup.
Step 1: Send your property key to BookVisit.
Email your Travia Property Key to BookVisit support at support@bookvisit.com
Step 2: Wait for BookVisit to prepare the connection.
BookVisit will establish the connection to the Travia channel on your BookVisit account and prepare it for mapping.
Mapping in BookVisit. The following steps take place in your BookVisit account.
Step 3. Access the Mapping tool.
Navigate to Promote in BookVisit, then select Settings on the Travia channel.
Step 4. Map Your Rooms and Rate Plans.
The mapping tool feature two columns.
- Left column: Displays data retrieved from Travia (room types and rate plans).
- Right column: Allows you to select the corresponding room types and rate plans in BookVisit.
Map each row by selecting the matching room types and rate plans.
Step 5. Notify BookVisit
Once the mapping is complete, please inform BookVisit at support@bookvisit.com
Step 6. Start Receiving Reservations.
Travia can now display rates and availability for your partners and send reservations to BookVisit. They should appear in your calendar automatically.
