Rate codes are now managed in the Rate codes menu. To add or edit rate codes, this is done from the menu.

When the Rate Code section is opened, an overview of all rate codes created for the property will appear.

We have 2 types of rate codes:
- Room Rate Codes. They are now managed in the Rate codes menu. To add or edit rate codes use that menu.
The section in the room setup is a read-only and shows which rate codes the room is linked to.

- Contract Rate Codes. They are now managed in the Rate codes menu. To add or edit rate codes use that menu.
On the contract level the rate codes shown are available for the cooperation and need to be assigned.
These rate codes will be merged with any rate codes on the room level, and the lowest available rate will be used when booking.
If all the rate codes defined here are closed, then the contract will also be closed, and only the BAR rates will be used if available.

To create a rate plan its very important to keep in mind that rate codes need to match those defined in the channel manager and that prices and restrictions need to be correctly setup and connected.
