Discount Groups

Discount Groups allow you to create special pricing rules for selected agreements, agencies, or other groups. 

Navigate to My Properties and select the action menu on the right side. Select Discount Groups from the menu.

This page shows all existing Discount Groups and allows you to create, edit, or remove discount groups.

To create a new Discount Group click on Create new discount group.

Once you are there you will be asked to Select customers, to which customer does the discount group apply. There are two options:

Based on travel agents - use this option if the discount should apply to selected travel agents.

Based on price agreements - use this option if the discount should apply to customers linked to specific price agreements.

After selecting the relevant option by ticking the checkbox in front of the name of the customer and select Next.

In the Discount details step, select the conditions that must be met for the discount to be applicable.  

Fill in the following fields:

Discount Group Name - enter a clear name for the discount group.

Discount Group Type - select the type of discount group you want to create. Room discount or Free nights. 

Currencies - select the currency or currencies the discount should apply to (only applies if you will give a fixed amount of discount). 

You can select pre-defined parameters of Discount groups such as based on; Booking and check-in dates, Early bird discount, Book between dates, Booking and stay dates, Check-in between dates or create your own. 

Example: 10% discount for a minimum 3-night stay

For example, you may want to create a Discount Group that gives customers a 10% discount when they book at least 3 nights, book during September, and check in between October and February.

In this case, you would set up the discount group with Parameter such as:

Lenght o stay - Greater than or Equal to 3 nights 

Book date - the booking must be made in September

Date of stay - the stay dates must be between October and February

After adding these conditions, click Next to continue to Discount on products, where you can select the products the discount applies to and set the discount value to 10%.

You can give discounts for each room you have available. You can also give discounts with a fixed amount (e.g. 15€).

Fill in the following fields:

Percentage value - enter the discount percentage, for example 10%.

Pricing type - select whether the discount should apply per booking or per night.

Applies to - select whether the discount applies to All prices, BAR prices, or Contract only.

You can also give a free quantity of rooms as part of the discount setup.

For example, you may want to offer 1 free room for every 10 rooms booked, with a maximum of 2 free rooms per booking. 

In this example, the free rooms would be based on the cheapest rooms in the booking.

In the Preview step, review the discount group setup before saving. 

If everything looks correct, Finish the discount group.
